Class Summary

This course places an emphasis on being an active learner. Students will question, inquire, and observe; as well as test hypotheses, analyze data, and evaluate and report findings. The Biology curriculum has two primary goals. First, to value science as a process of obtaining knowledge based on observable evidence, and second, to sustain curiosity as students develop abilities in using scientific inquiry. The three major concepts that this course will focus on are: the structure of all living things occur due to function, organisms interaction with their environment is determined by the living and non-living components, and Evolution of species occurs over time and is related to each species environment.
